Good afternoon, Winston-Salem –
Diamondback Grill will reopen for Dinner business tonight, Friday May 22 at 5:00pm. at 50% capacity, and we will continue to follow all Covid-19 guidelines. We respect that people may have differing opinions about whether they want to take advantage of this opportunity.
We will continue offering curbside pick-up of this same menu going forward, Tuesday through Saturday, as we have been doing.
Various businesses may be more or less prepared to welcome guests back, despite everyone’s sincere concerted efforts, and I respect our many restaurant friends decisions to do what they feel is best…and we continue to wish us all good luck persevering.
I would like to offer a short summary of why I feel we are ready. In addition to Diamondback, I am a Dining Services Director for a large senior living community which, thanks to much hard work and good fortune, has remained unaffected by Covid-19, despite serving 500 meals a day. I’ve been sharing my experience with Kimberly and our management team, including regular state and federal health care industry updates and training on common sense food handling, hand washing, sanitizing and social distancing.
Reopening is not a profit-driven action. Most of us in small local food service may be many months from seeing the business most of us have worked for years or decades to build with blood sweat and tears.
If you are ready to step back out, we have done our best to be ready for you. And unlike a trip to the grocery store, I can assure you no other customers have touched your lettuce.

We’re getting a lot of positive feedback from folks who are using the SWIPEBY app. You can order off the SWIPEBY app anytime during the day but please write what time you would like to pick up your order in the notes section. Pick-up is available from 5:00-8:30 pm. You’ll actually process your payment through the SWIPEBY app so we’ll know the exact moment when you arrive and you don’t have to get out of your car.

Our menu changes daily and it's inspired by the bounty of fresh produce and meats available through our local farmers. Our farm-to-table philosophy means one night we'll offer fresh corn and tomatoes and the next, beautiful asparagus or farm raised chicken that's just come in. Using our local resources we can prepare dishes that are fresh, healthy and so good they speak for themselves.
